Sony Christmas banquet
Sony Europe Ltd.'s most popular event is the end-of-year gala dinner, which we have organised several times since 2016. In 2017, we wanted to come up with something really unique. That's why we chose the Museum of Applied Arts, which we managed to transform into an unusual yet perfect venue with exciting decorations and unusual light painting.
End-of-year gala dinner with mystical masks and breathtaking lights
An exclusive party even the great Gatsby would have envied! The stately room, resplendent in white and gold, was a brilliant blend of sophistication and modernity thanks to a special light painting. Shimmering like a diamond! We didn't want to impose a costume on the guests, the theme of the "mysterious masquerade ball" was reflected in the sophisticated decor. The elegant buffet dinner included caviar, salmon and champagne for the Sony staff. No Christmas is complete without Christmas eggs, so the traditional sweet was also on the menu.
As the year draws to a close, everyone was ready for a bit of fun...
We have also created an exciting game for the event: the "mulled wine lottery", where guests have to mark on a ticket which of the different flavours of mulled wine they have tasted. The better you did, the bigger the prize for the correct guess! At the Playstation station set up at the gala dinner, guests were able to put their foot down and feel like a real racing driver with the popular video game Gran Turismo. A photo wall and a foosball table were also on hand to keep the staff entertained.
We were really ready for anything!
Luckily, we had the foresight - as always - to order a taxi dispatch service for the company on a weekend evening full of Christmas parties. This ensured that everyone was guaranteed to leave when they wanted to, and that guests tired of partying didn't have to wait long for a car.
Sony's 2017 year-end gala dinner was truly extraordinary. It was the last year we had the chance to rent the impressive Glass Hall before the long years of renovation work.
